The Qur’an by its definition: perfect style, poetic beauty and pure language, in the time of its publication or after it, until present days, has got beyond the works of all the writers, novelists and poets. During the 14th century, the Qur’an has kept the authority of the most beautiful and richest in thoughts book, which satisfies and pleases the most beautiful part of the human being, the mind and heart equally, with its beauty of expression and great thoughts.
The Qur’an is the most read book in the world. The reciting (learning) of its surahs and ayats can never make you bored, no matter how often they are repeated. If we learn or listen to the Qur’an carefully and thoughtfully, it will lead us to a greater state of the mind where we strongly understand the meaning of our lives. The Qur’an is not prose or poetry. It is a mixture of prose and poetry together, a form of literary work which is not common in the Arabic world.
In the words of the Qur’an we feel the beauty and perfection of the style which awakens our most delicate feelings but the truth is the final goal. With its theory in the past fourteen centuries and even today, the Qur’an represents a great challenge to the experts in different fields, especially the sociologists who are interested in this book because of its teaching which sees the man as a person and the human community as entity. The sociologists are especially interested in the entity the Qur’an pleads for, where the justice, freedom and mercy are the basic ideas, where there are no privileges for anyone, where everyone has the right to religion and conscience because any form of forcing to believing or non-believing is strictly forbidden.
The Qur’an has paid special attention to the moral purity of the marriage and family. With its rules it has protected the holiness of the family and family relationships requiring from the spouses strict fidelity in marriage, because only in a marriage like that the children will be happy and develop and grow normally.
It is important to say that the Qur’an, fourteen centuries ago, when the science and technology were at a very low level, has spoken about many truths from different science branches: physics, chemistry, biology, embryology, botany, astronomy, law, history and others. With the notification of all these scientific truths, and the truths from the metaphysic world (about God, soul, angels etc.) its goal is to make the people wonder, who is the one who discovers all these truths and points to them? The ones who seek for the truth can easily make sure that these great truths could only come from the All-knowing Creator of the World, who has contacted the mankind through its prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) with the Qur’an as its law and message.
The Qur’an is definitely a Word of God and message from God. Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) and all the scholars of the world and all the masters of the written word, prose and poetry, are not capable of writing only one literary work which would be similar to the shortest surah of Qur’an – Ihlas or Kevser in their beauty of expression or greatness of thoughts. For example: The Great Allah teaches us that the beliefs and statements that Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) has designed and composed the Qur’an and spread it to the world as a Speech from God and a Thought of God are wrong and malicious. According to that the Great Allah says:
“Say it (Muhammad): If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants.” (Al-Isra’ 88)
